Life Builders Initiative for education and societal integration is a non-profit, non-Governmental civil society organization whose primary mission is to contribute meaningfully to the life of the poor, less-privileged and internally-displaced persons. Our main thrust is to use education and other socio-economic tools to reactivate their enormous endowments and engage them to sustainably improve their lives and transform them into agents of change both for their immediate communities and the nation at large

The School Without Walls (SWW) project is a learning center for children at all levels (from primary to secondary) and vocational training center located in Area 1, Camp David (separate from the IDP Camp Durumi/Area 1) and New Kuchigoro IDP Camp, where the internally-displaced children and other vulnerable children in the neighborhood attend daily. This is the flagship program of Life Builders Initiative and remains the core focus of our organization.

In line with our core value which is providing the educational need for the vulnerable children in our community, Life Builders Initiative is pleased to announce a new partnership with Linking Hands Foundation – LHF towards the ‘Linking Hands Foundation Scholarship Program’ which would be awarded to 142 children of the School Without Walls.

This scholarship program is in support of our mission which is to improve the lives of the poor, under-served, vulnerable and internally displaced persons in our communities through quality education. Life Builders Initiative for the past 2 years has been providing quality educational services with a free meal a day for 600 children at 2 various learning centers located at New Kuchigoro and Area 1, Camp David.

Linking Hands Foundation – LHF is an organization with a goal to empower internally displaced children through education and give them hope of a bright future.
The scholarship program, which is sponsored by Linking Hands Foundation entails funding the education of 102 nursery and primary school level children and 40 secondary learning students which makes a total of 142 students of the School Without Walls for the academic year 2016/2017. The scholarship which is a sum of N 10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) per child, covers their tuition, school uniforms, books, and instructional materials, it also covers a part of each student’s capital infrastructure fees.

We would like to thank the management of Linking Hands Foundation – LHF for their commitment towards empowering the internally-displaced children through education and we look forward to a smooth working relationship.

We also hope other like minds individuals and organisations will join the movement and partner with us in our commitment to improving the lives of the poor, underserved, vulnerable and internally displaced persons (IDPs), thus giving them a sense of belonging
