On the 11th of July, 2017, the student council, pupils and teachers of Blooming Heritage School Abuja and members of the “Share the Shoes” initiative, visited the School Without Walls, center 2, New Kuchingoro and they brought food items and shoes for the children in the school. On their arrival, the Blooming Heritage School went round to each classes of the school to speak with some of the children to get to know how they felt and to give them moral support.
During the interview, Blooming Heritage School discovered that some of the pupils were not just victims of Boko-Haram, but also victims of demolitions and attacks of Fulani herdsmen which made them homeless.
In an interview with both the Head Teacher of Blooming Heritage School and the head of the “Share the Shoes” initiative, they both gave words of encouragement to the students and took pictures with them.
The items they brought were Shoes, Rice, caparison, books, pen, cloths and indomie.
The visit was successful and fulfilling and the children were very happy.
